Is it really wrong to do other stuff during WFH? 😭 I got caught doing laundry and running errands, but I always deliver my work on time and meet deadlines. Many times I reply late but still within reasonable time and it's not because I’m slacking off but I was just multitasking with other things. Now my boss says he’ll bring it up during appraisal and might take away my WFH privilege. How do I explain myself and convince him that I’m still productive, just with better work-life balance?

WFH is a privilege and not an entitlement. You are giving the privilege to WFH and paid, work should come first, multi task between work and laundry that's a NONO. put yourself in your Boss's shoe, he trusted you and you betrayed the trust.

"Replying late but within reasonable time" 🤔🤔 sounds like an excuse Your co-workers probably complained about not being able to reach you. If your boss is bringing it up, it's affecting others. Make sense right?

I believe most people do small chores during WFH. What matters is output, not minute-by-minute activity. Just explain calmly that you’ve been meeting deadlines and staying accountable, but you’ll be more mindful about responsiveness. Show results and responsibility! I think that’s how you can win back trust and keep the WFH perk.

Actuallt i read 1 of the comment here is quite true also la, if ur boss already bring this up could be, someone you're working with got affected due to ur delay reply. but not sure ur reasonable time is how long. So, better for u to reflect urself as well..

i mean it's undeniable there are people who abused the wfh "benefit" but afterall, it all depends on the performance and how you deliver your work lor right

That's literally the point of WFH 🙌 no? but well, maybe agree on response time standards or availability windows. If your work quality is solid, you have great ground to stand on

actually, this is why i'm always paranoid when wfh. but to think about it, as long as your work is done and your performance is okay then shouldnt be a prob right
