Been at this company for over a year, and it’s been nothing but frustration. I suggested a process improvement, thinking I was being helpful, but my manager accused me of "challenging authority" & "talking back." I was pulled off the project and told my "performance" was lacking, with no clear feedback. When asked, my manager just said team "not happy with my attitude." Now I’m sidelined with no work, and HR’s ignoring me. Seriously considering moving on. Anyone else dealt with this nonsense?

It’s a sign to move on when manager & colleagues show no interest in driving improvement. I had a similar exp, ex-manager was incompetent & had no clear direction, my teammates were lazy & lack accountability. Despite constructive feedback supported by evidence, nothing changed. Horrifying is they even got promoted while I was unfairly rated poorly despite consistently delivering outstanding results! I left the com, no longer accepting mistreatment. Don’t waste your time. Move on. Goodluck!

So sad even HR isn’t helping you on this. Maybe your companies are ran by narcissists that’s why they dont want to accept any new suggestions.

There is always unreasonable staff in each company, of their own agendas. Company culture is important, as it may created by individual and do their own style.
The top management need to address or manage it, unfortunately they may also created their own culture to company with their own leadership.
At all time, get your resume updated and send out especially company do not treasure staff who contribute. During the period in the company, attend more courses.

our manager has no chill. Mine's different. My boss ignores my suggestions, but when someone else brings up the same idea, he's suddenly cool with it.

This is how my friend ended up losing his job. He’s a smart guy, but he has this habit of always pointing out alternative ways of doing things and asking a lot of questions. My guess is the boss got annoyed.. maybe he just wanted the task done, not suggestions on how to do it differently lol

I used to tolerate being treated like this. But now, if i noticed a company accusing me over something that it’s not right, i walk out on the spot and find new job.
