I’ve taken a bunch of online courses and earned a few certs to boost my resume. While they look good on paper, I honestly don’t know how to apply what I’ve learned in the actual job. The classes were so theoretical, nothing like the messy, fast-paced nature of work. Sometimes I feel a bit lost and question if those certs are even useful beyond impressing HR. Anyone else feel this way? How do you actually make use of what you learn from online courses in daily work?

I feel this! Courses taught me “ideal” processes, but real work is chaos. What I do now: revisit old course notes when facing a work problem. Sometimes even rewatch a module with my current project in mind. Makes the theory more relatable and usable.
