Just joined my first full-time job in customer service and I’m honestly still finding my footing. The work itself is fine but what’s hard is fitting in with the team. Everyone already seems so close, got their own inside jokes, lunch groups, even shared playlists. I try to smile and be friendly, but I still feel like an outsider. I’m scared of being “too much” or too quiet. How do you guys usually break the ice? Especially when you're new and don’t want to come off as awkward?

Give it some time, clicking with a team doesn’t always happen instantly. Sometimes just showing up at lunch or asking someone for tips on work stuff can spark a convo. People remember small moments of friendliness, even if you’re quiet.
