Do resumes for startups need to be different from those for corporates? I’m wondering if startups value creativity and flair more like making the resume more colorful or trendy while corporates prefer a more polished, traditional format. I’ve noticed startups seem to look for adaptability and initiative, but what about the resume? Should I emphasize different traits or skills when applying to a startup versus a corporate job?

Good question! Startups tend to favor a more dynamic, story-driven resume, highlight side projects, quick learning, and versatility. You don’t need crazy colors, but a sleek, modern design helps. Corporates, on the other hand, stick to traditional formats with clear sections and a focus on experience.
