Working in data analytics is not just about crunching numbers but it’s also about managing "smart" people. Ever had a manager ask for insights, but only if the numbers make them look good? Or colleagues who think data analytics is just making fancy charts in Excel? Then there’s the classic struggle.. Spending hours cleaning messy data, only for someone to question why it "doesn’t match their gut feeling." How do you handle people who don’t get data but still argue with you?

Dealing with data skeptics is half the job! I try to get them involved early—ask what they expect to see before showing the numbers. That way, when reality doesn’t match their gut, they’re less defensive. And for the “Excel chart” crowd, I just smile and say, “If only it were that easy.”
