I just started a new role that involves a lot of data work, but honestly… I’m not as good as everyone thinks I am. People assume I’m a pro because of my resume or the way I talk during interviews, but the truth is I’m still learning. Now I’m scared to ask for help because I don’t want them to think I was bluffing. How do you ask for help without looking incompetent? I really want to improve but also don’t want to ruin the impression they have of me.

Used to silently Google everything out of fear. Hmm maybe can try framing questions as “wanting to double-check” or “confirm best practices.” It shows you're careful, not clueless. Most people respect that more than pretending to know everything!
