Imagine you got last-minute holiday project requests from clients, the ones who need everything done ASAP but then complain when you mention festive surcharges. Have you guys deal with that? tbh it's tough for me to find the right balance, especially since I’m already juggling my own holiday plans. I don’t want to scare off clients, but I also want to make sure I’m being paid fairly for the extra effort.

I’ve had to deal with those “urgent but don’t want to pay more” clients too. I usually explain upfront that the surcharge reflects the extra effort and festive timing. Most reasonable clients understand if you frame it as a trade-off for priority service.
