Does it really make a huge difference whether you work in the government or private sector? I know public hospitals offer stability and benefits, but private seems to pay more. Beyond just salary, which one actually treats its staff better in terms of work-life balance, career growth, and overall environment?

I’ve worked in both, and honestly, it’s a trade-off. Public sector gives you stability, job security, and structured career growth, but the workload can be heavy. Private pays better and promotions can be faster, but it’s more performance-driven, and job security isn’t as strong. Work-life balance depends on the specific workplace, some private hospitals treat staff well, while some public ones can be super taxing.
