I always thought work under Hospotality industry you had to speak at least three languages and be super outgoing to survive. I’m neither. I only know English and a bit of Malay, and I’m more of an introvert. But I love the idea of creating great experiences for people. Now I’m wondering if those traits are really that important, or if skills like problem-solving and adaptability matter more. Anyone in the industry...what’s your take on this? Must i learn languages?

I think problem-solving and adaptability are much more important. You don’t have to be an extrovert to thrive in hospitality. It’s about making people feel welcome and creating memorable experiences, which you can do even as an introvert.
