Failed too many interviews? Here's 3 tips that help me nailed the "tell me about yourself" question:
1️⃣I kick things off with a quick summary of my work journey. Only the parts that make sense for the role.
2️⃣Then I casually sneak in a personal interest (I use strategy games) to flex soft skills like focus & problem-solving.
3️⃣Keep it under 8 mins and let it flow like a story, not like reciting back my resume. Trust me, once I did this, interviews started feeling like actual conversations🫰

I’ve tried all almost everything, short, long, casual, structured and still nothing. Starting to think it’s not the answer, maybe I just need the luck 😬

I’ve tried almost everything—being professional, staying friendly, and giving my best in interviews. In many cases, I’ve matched the job description 100% and even received positive feedback from interviewers who agreed with my answers. Despite that, I haven’t been selected. At this point, it really feels like luck plays a big role in the process.
I really no idea what interviewers want from the candidates.
I received 2-3 feedback im over qualified for this role.

Hmm, I worry I’m over-sharing/going off-track.

Hmmm usually during interviews, it’s easy to overthink, but your tips made it sound simple and doable. Gonna use all these during interviews (if i got called one)

Great tips! 👏 I love how you structured your answer. But as a fresh grad with little to no work experience, I can't relate to it. How do I even start answering “Tell me about yourself” without sounding too empty or generic? Any advice on how to make my answer still stand out even if I don’t have a strong work history yet? Hope you can help me out. Thanks!
