Accounting Officer
Had an interview last week, and halfway through I knew the job wasn’t for me. The role wasn’t what I expected, and the way they described about the job scope just felt off. But instead of ending it gracefully, I sat through the whole thing, nodding awkwardly. Lastly they asked me if I had questions, I just said “Thanks, I’ll think about it!” before making my escape. Definitely not the smoothest exit. I didnt practice it well actually but yeah i guess not my loss either

Hey, at least you got through it! It’s totally normal to feel awkward in these moments. The good thing is, you now know what doesn’t work for you. Next time, if you’re sure mid-way, you can politely say it’s not the right fit and wrap up. No harm done, and no time wasted. On to the next!
