Have you ever negotiated your salary during the first interview? 🤔 I’ve been wondering if it’s a bold move or totally out of line. I once tried, and it felt like I was walking a fine line between being confident and coming off as pushy. And I can tell from the interviewer's face, she's not comfortable & annoyed. But is it considered rude to talk salary upfront, or is it something that shows you know your worth? How did it go for you if you’ve tried it?

I asked during my first ever interview and the HR just smiled politely and moved on lol. I felt like I blew it. But recently, I try to play it safer, focus on the fit first, then bring up salary after I know they’re interested cos no one teaches us this stuff rightt
