Sending out tons of applications, and some companies call me for interviews, but others reject me almost instantly. I don’t tailor my resume for every job (too mafan), so what makes some companies interested while others don’t even give me a chance? Is it purely luck, or do recruiters look for something specific in my resume? Wish to hear from recruiters POV/experienced interviewers

As someone who's been on the hiring side, it’s rarely random. Recruiters scan for specific skills, job titles, and experience that match the role. If your resume isn’t aligned, they move on. Not saying you need a custom resume for every job, but small tweaks (keywords, skills, relevant projects) help a lot. Also, some companies filter resumes using ATS, so missing certain keywords = instant rejection.
