Was chatting with a friend in the semiconductor industry, and he mentioned how China’s aggressively poaching top AI & chip talent, offering up to 3x salaries. He’s earning around $7k here, but got an offer for almost $20k. Now he's torn over better pay vs stability in SG. Makes me wonder, will Singapore benefit from this by pushing salaries up, or are we going to lose our best tech talent to these big offers? Curious what others think—would you take the money or stay for long-term security?

Man, $20K is hard to ignore. If I were in his shoes, I'd weigh the risks. higher pay sounds great, but what’s the work culture like? Stability? Career growth? If China’s aggressively poaching, it might mean intense expectations. But honestly, if SG doesn’t adjust salaries, it’s inevitable that top talent will look elsewhere.
