Got laid off last week after spending almost 7 years in corporate. No warning, the reasons of laying me off were vague. Totally not fine but move along, I’ve applied to tons of jobs, but no replies yet. Now I’m just sitting here wondering how to survive the next few months. Should I look into passive/part-time jobs? Desperately need work… and I gotta say, even those scammy “earn from home” ads really look tempting.

Based on your situations, these days we should never be loyal to our employer but always be good to the good folks that you're working together with. just remember guys! company only pays for your labor, not paying you to stay loyal and respect, that's a two way street. Best of luck Axel!

Been unemployed for a few months since i gotten laid offs too and honestly, i even applied for roles that doesn’t have anything to do with what i want to do. I gave up on that idea of sticking to what I’m good at and just try to take on anything new but never again that I will “dedicate” my life to a company. It’s okay if I don’t get promotions anymore hahah I just want to work, get paid, come on time, leave on time and not talk to strangers outside working hours. Hope luck finds uou soon too!

This could be a new beginning for you. I know it doesn’t feel like it now, but sometimes setbacks push us towards something even better. It's like a restart button no? Maybe this is a chance to explore new industries, upskill, or even start a side hustle you’ve always wanted to try.

No replies? Welcome to the club. Companies expect us to jump through hoops for an interview, but when it’s their turn to respond? Silence. The whole system is broken 😌😌😌

7 years wasted. Companies don’t care about loyalty, and now you’re stuck scrambling for work. Honestly, there’s no easy fix. just gotta keep applying and hope someone throws you a bone. OHH wait 7 years long, pretty sure you'll have few networking or connections. Try approaching them! It'll make your journey easy.

I used to try freelancing, but payments can be slow. Some suggest dividend stocks, rental income or online courses, but those take time and money to build. If you need something immediate, maybe try gig works? Not glamourous but at least it keeps things moving while you figure out the next step. Hang in there!
