Sales Manager / Head of Operations
What do u do when the small company that ure working with decided ur role is redundant and decided to let u go. Issue here is 1, my direct boss did not even have a decency to call or text me n say it to me but decided to have another boss to text me instead. 2, told me official termination date will be back-dated. 3, im still waiting on HR to pass me my termination letter & also some claims I have as its still pending n have been chasing it for 3rd week now.

aiyoooo how come la. but most importantly document every follow-up with HR, use emails instead of texts so it's formal.

Most important thing, document EVERYTHING. Screenshot all texts, emails, any communication about your termination. Dates matter especially with the backdating issue. This protects you legally if things escalate. 💪

Just got my termination letter yesterday fyi. Nearly a month wait for a 30mins job. N it’s not even done professionally. HR is a mess n i helped them re-organized n have a proper structure but they don’t seem to followed it so not bothered now. For my reporting boss, he is the co-founder of the company n ive known him for years but they way he ended my contract n during this troubling times, i don’t even know if i should still respect him or not.
