Our company recently went through a merger, and I’m now managing a team that I didn’t originally hire. I went through something similar last year. What helped was setting up casual 1-on-1s—not performance reviews, just chats to understand each person better. It showed I cared about them, not just their output. Trust takes time, but small steps go a long way.
