guys pls hear me out~ Sometimes I feel like I’m stuck in the middle between suppliers and other departments. When issues happen, ie: delay, wrong specs, sudden changes, everyone points fingers. I try to CC all relevant teams in emails and remind them to go through me, but some still contact suppliers directly or promise things without looping me in. How do you manage this? Do you act as the middleman officially? Or set strict SOPs? I’m really tired of fixing messes I didn’t create.

Yes yes yes! I call it the “blame sandwich”. I’m the filling 😩 I now send weekly summaries and label who's accountable for what, so if things go sideways, there’s a paper trail. Also had to gently (ok, firmly) remind teammates to not make supplier promises without looping me in.
