I’ve been working in procurement for about 4 years, currently earning $4k/month, and I’m starting to wonder if switching to supply chain management could offer better growth prospects. I know the two are closely related, but I’m not sure if they’re truly interchangeable. For those in either field, what’s the real difference between procurement and supply chain management? Does one offer better career progression, or are they pretty much the same in terms of opportunities?

Both fields have solid career paths! If you’re feeling stuck in procurement, transitioning to SCM could be a smart move, especially if you enjoy logistics, planning, and operations. But don’t feel pressured
