People think QS just sits in an office crunching numbers, but wah, sometimes it feels like we’re the only ones trying to make sure a project doesn’t go over budget. Boss wants things fast, contractors want more money, and somehow we have to make it all work. Is it just me, or does it feel like QS is always caught in the middle of everyone’s mess?

I relate to this so much. People think we’re just doing paperwork, but they don’t see the constant negotiating, chasing, and problem-solving. It’s like walking a tightrope daily. Honestly, we keep the whole project from going off the rails.
