I managed to find remote job here, on Jobstreet. But sadly, no medical, dental, optical, no allowance, not even free coffee (if I had an office 😩). Just the salary, that’s it. Their excuse? “It’s a remote role, so we don’t provide those benefits.” Is this normal for remote jobs, or is the company just being stingy. I do love the flexibility, but without benefits, is it even worth to accept it?

Honestly, kinda normal but also kinda stingy. Some remote jobs still offer benefits, especially medical, since that’s a basic necessity. If they’re paying you well enough to cover those costs yourself, maybe it’s okay. But if you’re basically losing money in the long run, might be worth looking elsewhere. Flexibility is great, but so is not having to pay out of pocket for every little thing. :/
