Following up with clients is always a boring part. I used to just send a standard “Just checking in!” email, but honestly, most of the time, it got ignored. Now, I try to make it more natural—like if I see an article that’s relevant to their business, I’ll share it with a quick note. Or if we talked about something casual (like their kid’s soccer game), I’ll ask about it before bringing up business. What’s your go-to move for following up without sounding desperate?

Haha yup, “just checking in” rarely works for me either. These days I try timing my follow-ups around something relevant, like industry news or upcoming events. It feels more helpful than pushy.
