32, working in marketing, and lately we're using a lot of AI for copywriting, visuals, and even video editing bcz it’s faster, cost-effective, and honestly, pretty good. But because of this, we’ve started cutting budgets for designers and video editors. I know it’s just business, and everyone else is doing it too… but it still feels off. Is using AI for marketing unethical, or is this just the future? How do you justify your budget cutting to these real people working behind the scene?

This is tricky. AI is the future, but the speed at which it’s replacing people is unsettling. I’ve seen companies use AI for drafts and concepts, then bring in creatives to refine and elevate the work. Maybe it’s worth pushing for a model like that? Cutting budgets entirely might save money now, but long-term, it could dilute originality. Marketing still needs that human spark.
