I’ve been offered a role as a Junior Data Analyst with a salary of $4,000/month. On paper, it seems decent for someone starting out, but after factoring in rent, utilities, transport, and daily expenses, I’m questioning if it’s enough to live comfortably. Most of my peers are earning around $5,000 or more in similar fields. Do you think the salary is reasonable for this role, or should I negotiate for a higher salary? Would love to hear your thoughts on entry-level data analyst salaries.

honestly, 4k is fine for a starting. If you want an increase, make sure you're able to justify wither with your capabilities or the market rate, if you just needed the raise just because your friends are making more than you, then i don't think so

I think $4k is a reasonable start, especially if you’re new to the field, but it's okay if you want to check market rates. If your peers are making $5,000, look into what makes they earn that much, like company size, industry, or location. Nego is worth a shot if you can justify it, but if the role offers good growth, sometimes it’s okay to accept and level up later.
