Out of nowhere, I UNEXPECTEDLY got a job offer from the company I’ve been wanting to join. I heard the team and bosses are nice + good benefits... literally my kind of place. But my appraisal is just around the corner. If things go well, my bonus and increment might actually be worth MORE than what this offer is giving. Problem is, the new company needs someone urgently, so I can’t stall too long.
If you're in my place, would you chase the dream job OR stay a bit longer for the rewards?

Nice bosses are better than whatever increments or bonusses a company can give

sleep over it.
inevitably, if you decide to press on with your current job because of the increment, obviously that would mean giving up your dream job since they need you urgently.
if it were me, I'd be reflecting,
1) how long have I been eager/waiting for this dream job
2) how much is the increment?
3) which am I more happy with
4) just do it (:

Eh, how much the salary they offer you? Share with us la. We help you to evaluate 😎 Another way you can see if it’s worth it is… you try add your current salary with a 20% raise. If the amount more or less matches what the new company willing to pay you, then don’t doubt already, just grab loh. Trust me, cause company wont give more than 20% increment. unless you're seen as their VALUABLE asset.

congrats on getting that job offer! Also you might want to think twice about it. Dont be hasty when choosing work path. Both got pros and cons. If you really find the new job is what you've been dreaming of.. perhaps just accept it but ask for slightly salary bump and see what can they offer you. You did mention that the people there are ok, why not give it a try then

Ask yourself how much value can your old company add value to your career 2 years from now compared to the new company. think again!

cannot stall too long means like how soon they want you to join? I would recommend you try to negotiate with the new company for a later starting date, see how it goes. i feel it'd be a waste for your bonus to get burned t's for for the previous year's performance.

aiya just give notice saying you have been offered a position somewhere else. if they want to you stay they will offer you more, if not you go to your new job. To receive bonus sure you have to wait till next year

Stay in the current job! The new one can settle it, it always ‘urgent’ don’t miss your luck.

dont think much la. call that hr company now, ask them to cover the bonus. you've been with the current company long enough right
