Quality Assurance Manager
Why is my luck so bad?? I was promised a major salary increment during performance review last year. Fast forward to now, NOTHING. When I brought up this matter, boss said budget's tight, cost of operations increased, we can’t afford it. But somehow, they got money for new hires & company events? Honestly, I felt cheated but bcz this is the 1st time it's happening to me, i can't help to wonder is it me?? What did i do wrong? Past years, I've always received 2% increment but not this year. :(

May they taking loan to hired the new company . Be cool and patient coz patience will pay everything. If we are in difficulties there’s are more people are difficulties than us. Always remember to be grateful and realise how fortunate we are in many ways. Wish you a good lah ya.

If i were you.. i'd just refuse to do anything that are part of new responsibilities. they acknowledge your capabilities, and suddenly unable to compensate you with the promising pay raise.. is just a another work typical political things. A boss who truly cares about their team would fight to make sure you’re properly rewarded

Commissions are usually reserved for client-facing sales roles, and even then, they can vary significantly by company.Out of curiosity, do you recall why your manager discussed an increment in the first place?

Think its so common nowadays!!!I was bein promised an increment when i could chase 5mil AR a month, in da end i done it but they never keep deir promise🥹so i left and now i feel so much happier knowin dat i created a record in da company dat nobody could break🤣
