Went through all the interviews, jumped through every hoop, and told them straight-up that my expected salary is $4.5K. They came back with $4K, saying it was their best offer. Okay, fine. I walked away. I wasn't desperate anyways. Then ONE WEEK LATER, suddenly they can magically afford $4.5K and make a new offer! So they had the budget all along but tried to lowball me first?! Now I’m wondering—if I take this job, will they keep trying to undercut me in other ways?? Red flag or what? 😤
