Are apprenticeships for technicians still a thing in Singapore? I’ve been looking for a proper training path, but it feels like companies are only hiring people with experience these days. It’s tough to break into the field without that. Anyone has suggestions on program or companies I can apply to that are open to training new talent?

Some companies do train, but they rarely shout about it. Try looking at SkillsFuture or Work-Study programs by ITE and polytechnics. Also, smaller companies might be more open to hiring fresh talent if you show willingness to learn.
