As a designer, I’m sure we’ve all heard some pretty annoying client requests. My personal favourites are “Can we make it pop more?” or “Just add a bit of magic.” Like, what does that even mean?! 🙄 Sometimes I feel like I need a crystal ball to figure out exactly what they’re imagining. Another classic: “Make it look more professional” – but they can’t explain what that means either... FML

Ah yes, the classic “make it pop.” Pop where? Pop how? 😂 I once had a client say, “Make it more premium,” and when I asked what that meant, they just said, “You know… premium.” Super helpful. I’ve started flipping it back on them: “What does ‘premium’ mean to you?” Usually, that makes them think a bit harder before throwing out another buzzword.
