I decided to move on from my previous job because I was facing some challenges with a colleague who was much older than me. When I tried to address the issue with him and remind him of his responsibilities, he denied everything. I eventually spoke to our boss about it, but she felt that I couldn't handle the situation. How should I explain this to my future employer when they ask me why I left my previous job?

Emm, I'd keep it simple and positive. Maybe something like "I was looking for a workplace where communication flows better and issues get resolved as a team." You don't need to get into the drama or throw anyone under the bus... and you dont have to be VERY transparent with them.
