Is it normal for HR to verify MCs? Mine called me out, saying they think I’ve been faking mine, which is super frustrating because my MCs are legit from a certified clinic. Not sure how to convince them without making it worse. Should I offer to provide additional proof, or is this something I should escalate to my boss? Feels like they’re questioning my integrity, and I’m not sure how to handle it. Is it wise to include my boss in the loop?

Totally understand why this feels so unfair. First, stay calm and professional then ask HR what proof they need to clear things up. If your MCs are legit, you shouldn’t have anything to worry about. If it still feels like they’re targeting you, looping in your boss is an option, but frame it as seeking guidance rather than accusing HR.
