Dear All, I recently got a job offer, already signed and submitted the offer letter. There was an issue of applying EP because the company didn't advertise the job ads on government's website so they repost the ads and it requires 14 days before they can apply for my pass. Another worse case, they are having surplus staff. Currently they have a 1month+ pending EP application and if its come out successful, they need to withdrawn my application. Now im still waiting for the result.

It's only been 3 months since I join this company but I can't tahan being "used" by others and feel like I wanna quit my job. Can safely say I experience "extreme" culture shock here. Everyday I rush to deliver tasks bcz I'm helping 3 seniors, with tons of backlogs and I don't even learn anything new. I work like admin + assistant, instead of my original role. I only do stuff that's already been done by others, not contributing new ideas or anything exciting. This is not what I sign up for ☹️

Fresh grad here, just joined this company 1 week ago & honestly REALLY shocked when I read my company’s manual book. EXAMPLES: If I take MC, they gonna cut my pay in half. Late 5 mins= $5 fine, 10 mins= $10, and IT INCREASES. Toilet break more than 10 mins will be flagged by HR. Also can’t use AL during notice period, must clear all leave before resigning. This is the 1st proper office job for me, so I’m a bit confused. Are these rules NORMAL in SG or am I in a red flag one?? Should i run?

inSingapore Salary Gap

Hello! Asking for opinion. I’m currently earning $7k/month atm, but IDK it doesn't feel enough. My rent, transport, daily meals, gym memberships, and weekend brunches already burn a hole in my wallet. And don’t even make me start on traveling because I can never save enough to go further than just SEA! Honestly, I don’t understand how people survive on less. Like $5k or below? I think I’d actually die for real! Is it just me, or is SG really is this expensive?! Or am I just bad at adulting? 🫤
